And it's been 25 years since his first love Bonnie left town without so much as a goodbye. Maybe because all of it just plain kept me on the hook!
In the first book Midnight Ride we had the older woman/younger man theme used to great effect, and Cat Johnson has absolutely excelled with Rohn and Bonnie’s story in that we are looking at a couple in their forties this time, a couple who have loved, lived and lost.

Rohn is in his early 40s and pretty much ok with his life as a widowed rancher. He wants someone to talk to other than his young employees. I won't tell you ☺☺☺ Great second chance romance, I truly enjoyed this one!
Someone to have dinner with and cuddle in bed with. Why, well maybe because it was not twenty something's falling in love again with their teenage romance again; but forty something's getting. Maybe because one forty something , Rohn, was a hot Oklahoma rancher.
It's been five years since his wife died of cancer. Maybe because Bonnie Martin secret keeps me hooked for a little while.
The Midnight Cowboys series is turning out to be an absolute treat to read.
